A Guide to the Field has teamed up with Barbara Botting to custom design a collectable Singer Featherweight Sewing machine.

The Singer Featherweight is a model series of lockstitch domestic sewing machines produced by the Singer Manufacturing Company from 1933 to 1968. Introduced as the model 221 during the 1933 World's Fair, the model boasted aluminum construction, small size, and a weight of only 11 pounds.

Barbara Botting is an artist and designer working in textiles, clothing, and paper; exploring ideas around silence and erosion. Botting lives and works in Philadelphia. PA, tending her garden of native plants and exploring the Wissahickon for inspiration.
